Another set back

Hi folks,

Dennis started having another GI bleed this morning and was rapidly moved back to the ICU. When I arrived back at the hospital this evening, Dennis was in respiratory distress. As the evening progressed, he became more ill. He's breathing increased to 45-50 respirations per minute, heart beat of 125bpm and had a blood pressure of 225/137. Needless to say, he needed immediate intervention and the medical staff felt he needed to be intubated again. He is currently heavily sedated and undergoing a number of tests and procedures.

Dennis is not receiving visitors at the present time.

So sorry to hear about the set back, nevertheless God is faithful and will come through. This is the verse that was put on our heart. Psalm 41:3 The Lord will sustain him on his sick bed, and restore him from his bed of illness. We are standing firm on this verse.

Wow Dennis your a charger again. We are pulling for your victory in this!! I imagine that some of the meds you are on to allow the heart to recover (and minimize clotting) also allow bleeding to occur more easily and that is why this bleeding elsewhere continues to show up. It will all be better with time. Rest and heal up! May God continue to bless you in all good things. Jeff N
