GI bleed

Hi folks,

Yesterday was an exhausting day off waiting as they tried to localize Dennis' GI bleed. They informed us that he may need to have an abdominal surgery for a bowel resection. In the morning, they preformed a scope of the esophagus, stomach and upper GI tract and found no active bleeding. In the evening, they completed an angio of the lower GI tract and found no active bleeding. It's all a mystery. Has healing already occurred?? After 3 massive blow out of blood, he has had no further episodes. He had 6 units of blood yesterday and he is now holding his own.

Today, he will undergo another procedure through nuclear med to see if they can localize his GI bleed ... I get a feeling they won't find anything. God is good.

Otherwise, they will give him dialysis and do another breathing trial. Please pray for his breathing as he continues to have difficulty breathing on his own. This is the next major step in his recovery.

Thank you so much for all your prayers and support.

Praise the Lord, how precious is He! His love endures forever!

All I can say is that I totally agree with Jeff N, that through Dennis, God has already done so many works in us through faith.

We know that God is here with us, amongst us and dwelling within us. We shall keep our eyes on Him, and all will work out in the perfect plan.

Den, Eun, Kathy, hold your heads up high, facing God, because He looks upon you with love and generosity in His blessings in the days to come!

Dennis, May God's peace and strength be upon you (Daniel 10:19). You are a strong man to me for you are fighting with great courage as we pray and wait on God. He is meticulous and perfectly careful as he works in all our hearts and minds in this. We gather up our trust, faith and hope and bring it to Him. He will choose and we trust in Him in that!!! His blessings be upon you!!! Jeff N.

Good afternoon Dennis! This weekend a lot of people were watching the olympic athletes. A lot of highly talented people at the culmination of a life of training. Medals won and lost and lots of emotion! So hang in there - you are giving it everything you have more then even the best athletes. We're cheering for you!!! God's victory be upon you!!! Jeff N

Hello Dennis- Julie House (formerly of Seattle now of Wa, DC) saying hello to you. Please know that you are in my prayers and I am thinking of you. You are a shining example of courage, going through these trials. Be strong and know that God loves you with all the power and majesty He's used before to build mountains like the wonderful snow-capped Mt. Rainier.

Hello Dennis and family! We are continuing to lift you up in prayer. Last night Mike and I were talking about missing your wisdom, laughter and patient humbleness. We are looking forward to seeing you again soon! I am thankful for the peace in our country that allows you to have a peaceful hospital to be in. Keep healing and regain your strength!! Jeff N

From a poem by D Fletcher:
It is a time to just heal. So I will walk in the sun among trees adorned with fragrant blossoms. Birds sing. The wind whispers. Life is truly a miracle. A miracle I share with loved ones. Their legacy to me: Life and their commitment to honoring life through living. They will always be with me.
